Will in a nut shell
I grew up in a small town, more cows than people type place, and I’m proud of it—it’s where I first learned to love people.
After starting my career in sales, where my people skills were put to the test, I made a plot twist in 2019 and landed at Neighborhood Watch, launching an unexpected career in film.
Producing turned out to be the perfect fit—essentially, I get to organize chaos for a living and call it art. I started as a Studio Manager and worked my way towards being an Associate Producer. Then during COVID, like many small companies, we downsized. I continued working closely with Neighborhood Watch’s brilliant executives, Richard Peete and Traci Carlson, who mentored me through the process. We continued to build the company back up to its glory and shaped it in a way that better suited todays market.
Wearing multiple hats became my specialty—whether it was finding new directors, rewriting protocols, pitching to agencies, or even redesigning our website. This experience shaped me into a multifaceted producer, always ready for what comes next. My official title changed a few times but by the time I left, I went by Head of Production.
When I’m not wrangling film crews, you can find me at a Buffalo Bills game, selling hats, or working on another side project (like learning banjo, see video of me struggling through plucking). I love a good challenge, both on and off the clock!
